Are You Bold Enough To Wear A Gold Watch?

I used to look at women who wore expensive gold watches and think that they were full of themselves. Too much gold can be gaudy, don’t you think? I mean it falls right into the category of enormous gold clocks around your neck or gold grills in your teeth. A big gold watch… I don’t think so. Well, that is what I was thinking last year, but this summer I have had a change of heart, mainly due to Michael Kors. I have kind of fallen in love with all of the Michael Kors watches, especially the gold ones, believe it or not. I now own one and wear it proudly. Which has made me pose the question…are you bold enough to wear gold? I’ll show you mine and a few others and maybe, just maybe you too will become a gold convert:

Mine is the Michael Kors Runway Chronograph in gold. I mean the entire watch is gold. The dial is gold, all of the subdials and indexes, as well as the hands are gold, and the heavy link bracelet is gold. It’s great! It is adorned with a few crystals on the dial and around the bezel, which only add to the glitz. It’s weighty and really feels like something on my wrist, but I only paid $220 for it. I put it on with a white t-shirt and a faded pair of jeans and I’m instantly more chic and sophisticated. For me, this was the best buy of the spring…so far. If going totally gold is too much for you, this watch comes in versions of white gold and two toned models, as well.

On the site that I shopped I found a few other gold watches, from makers like Carter and Omega. Although their watches were equally beautiful, they were much more expensive. The more I searched, the more I realized that I couldn’t beat Michael Kors prices for great gold watches, and since I kept coming back to the same designer, buying one of his creations was a no-brainer for me.
Times have changed and you no longer have to be uber rich to wear a glorious gold watch. Maybe this summer is the perfect time for you to bring out a bolder side of your personality and strap on a beautiful gold Michael Kors watch.
